Hi,

In my sbs2000 current left over space in C drive is only 500MB(it is a RAID5
with 46x3SCSI hard disk) but D and E have sufficient spaces, I have deleted
all unwanted files from C.

Is there any way to increase the hard disk space(i need to install some of
the updates of SBS and other programs aswell)

pls advise

Have you moved the pagefile to a different partition to free up space on the
C: drive?

Hi, Thanks for the info,

I already did all that you specified some time back and now the size reduce
again to 500MB, is there any way to resize the scsi hard disk without
affecting the OS.

15Gb is normally enough for the OS drive (SBS 2000) - you have 4 x 36Gb
disks in RAID5 - begs the question, what's taking up all the space? (if
you've done all that Merv has suggested).

Download and install a copy of WinDirStat...

http://windirstat.info/

And get back with what's eating your drive up.

The usual source of reduced drive space where all the user files have been
moved off the system partition is Windows Update. If you wish, you can
delete all the saved update uninstall folders, or better, move them to a
different drive. If you ever need to uninstall an update you will need the
uninstall folder.

Having said that, Server 2000 is out of mainstream support, and I would be
very surprised if you are getting enough updates to fill your drive. The
suggestion to use WinDirStat to find out what is taking up the room is a
good one.
