since yesterday, windows XP Pro clients cannot reach the SBS 2003 domain
controller. There is an access typing \\ip address\folder name, but no access
typing \\server name\folder name. Outlook cannot connect to exchange as well.
DcDiag /fix returns this:
Domain Controller Diagnosis
Performing initial setup:
Done gathering initial info.
Doing initial required tests
Testing server: Default-First-Site-Name\SERVER-BLUE
Starting test: Connectivity
The host
229a5dcd-a393-4d0c-8eea-e0dcbfc8ea8e._msdcs.blue-engineering.s
ede could not be resolved to an
IP address. Check the DNS server, DHCP, server name, etc
Although the Guid DNS name
(229a5dcd-a393-4d0c-8eea-e0dcbfc8ea8e._msdcs.blue-engineering.sede)
couldn't be resolved, the server name
(SERVER-BLUE.blue-engineering.sede) resolved to the IP address
(10.169.0.1) and was pingable. Check that the IP address is
registered correctly with the DNS server.
......................... SERVER-BLUE failed test Connectivity
